These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Sensory Bridges, LLC website at sensorybridges.com (the "Site"). By using the Site, you agree to these Terms.

1. About Us

Sensory Bridges, LLC is a Tennessee limited liability company headquartered in Chattanooga, Tennessee. We develop the Brooks Band™ wellness wearable and related products for neurodivergent individuals.

2. Intellectual Property & Trade Secrets

All content on the Site — including text, graphics, logos, the Brooks Band™ name and logo, the Sensory Bridges name and logo, all software, inventions, methods, processes, and trade secrets — is the exclusive property of Sensory Bridges, LLC and/or its founder, Megan Cales, and is protected by U.S. and international copyright, trademark, patent, and trade secret law. The Brooks Band™ is the subject of pending U.S. patent applications (Provisional No. 63/767,320 and Nonprovisional No. 19/557,509) and additional intellectual property under development. Certain information constitutes trade secrets protected under the federal Defend Trade Secrets Act (18 U.S.C. § 1836) and the Tennessee Uniform Trade Secrets Act (Tenn. Code Ann. § 47-25-1701 et seq.). Unauthorized access, use, disclosure, reverse engineering, or misappropriation of any proprietary information may result in civil and criminal liability.

Sensory Bridges, LLC maintains confidential business relationships with technology, research, and development partners under binding non-disclosure agreements. No information obtained through this website or through communications with Sensory Bridges personnel may be used to contact, solicit, or interfere with any Sensory Bridges partner relationship. You may view and share Site content for personal, non-commercial purposes only. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or use Site content for commercial purposes without prior written permission from Sensory Bridges, LLC.

3. Prohibited Uses

You agree to use the Site lawfully and in good faith. You agree not to:

  • Use the Site to violate any law or regulation
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any technology described on the Site
  • Use any information from the Site to file competing patent applications or develop competing products or services
  • Scrape, mine, or extract data from the Site by automated means, or use information to interfere with Sensory Bridges business relationships

4. User Submissions

When you submit information through forms, contact requests, or other Site features, you grant us a limited license to use that information to respond to you and provide the services you requested. You confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you have the right to share it.

5. Third-Party Links

The Site may link to third-party websites or services. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, terms, or privacy practices.

6. Disclaimers

The Site and its content are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from harmful components.

The Brooks Band™ is a general wellness wearable. It is not a medical device and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or condition. Information on the Site is for general information purposes and is not medical, educational, therapeutic, or legal advice.

7. Limitation Of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sensory Bridges, LLC and its officers, employees, and agents are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Site, including loss of data, loss of profits, or business interruption. Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the Site is limited to the amount you paid us, if any, in the twelve months before the claim.

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Sensory Bridges, LLC and its officers, employees, and agents from any claims arising from your use of the Site, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

9. Changes To Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last Updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Site after changes constitutes acceptance.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Site will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Hamilton County, Tennessee.

11. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect.

12. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, are the entire agreement between you and Sensory Bridges, LLC regarding the Site.

14. Trade Secret & Patent Notice

Sensory Bridges, LLC and its founder Megan Cales own proprietary technology, methods, processes, and inventions that constitute trade secrets under federal and state law. This includes, without limitation: the FSM architecture, four-state logic, voice-monitoring method, on-device signal processing, the BrooksClip two-device architecture, MirrorMatch platform, AVVOF (Ambient Voice & Vocal Observation Framework), the Resilience Formula, Love Bank methodology, and Global Good Map. These trade secrets are protected under:

  • The Defend Trade Secrets Act, 18 U.S.C. § 1832–1836
  • The Tennessee Uniform Trade Secrets Act, Tenn. Code Ann. § 47-25-1701 et seq.

The Brooks Band™ device and related technology are the subject of pending U.S. patent applications including Provisional Application No. 63/767,320 and Nonprovisional Application No. 19/557,509. Additional intellectual property applications are under development.

Any unauthorized access to, use of, disclosure of, reverse engineering of, or misappropriation of Sensory Bridges trade secrets or patented technology may give rise to civil liability including compensatory damages, exemplary damages up to twice actual damages, injunctive relief, and attorney fees, as well as criminal liability including fines and imprisonment under 18 U.S.C. § 1832.

15. Legal Compliance Framework

Sensory Bridges, LLC operates in compliance with applicable federal and state laws governing data privacy, intellectual property, accessibility, and consumer protection. The following laws and regulations inform our policies and practices:

  • FERPA — Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (20 U.S.C. § 1232g)
  • HIPAA — Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (42 U.S.C. § 1320d; 45 C.F.R. Parts 160 & 164) — The Brooks Band is a general wellness device and is not subject to HIPAA; however, we apply HIPAA-level safeguards as a best practice where health-related data may be involved.

16. Confidential Partnerships & Non-Interference

Sensory Bridges, LLC maintains confidential business relationships with technology partners, research institutions, healthcare organizations, and development collaborators under binding non-disclosure agreements (NDAs). These partnerships are protected under contract law and applicable trade secret statutes.

You agree that you will not:

  • Use any information obtained through this Site, through Sensory Bridges communications, or through any third-party source to identify, contact, solicit, or interfere with any Sensory Bridges partner, vendor, collaborator, or prospective business relationship
  • Induce or attempt to induce any Sensory Bridges partner to breach or terminate their agreement with Sensory Bridges
  • Use knowledge of Sensory Bridges partnerships for competitive advantage

Violation of this section may constitute tortious interference with business relations and/or tortious interference with prospective economic advantage under Tennessee law, and may result in civil liability for damages including lost profits and consequential damages.

17. Unauthorized Access & Mandatory Notification

If you become aware of or suspect any unauthorized access to Sensory Bridges systems, accounts, intellectual property, trade secrets, confidential business information, or partner communications, you must immediately notify legal@sensorybridges.com.

If you have received or obtained any Sensory Bridges confidential information, trade secrets, or proprietary materials through unauthorized means — including but not limited to unauthorized email access, account compromise, network intrusion, or third-party disclosure in violation of an NDA — you are legally obligated to:

  1. Immediately cease all use of the information
  2. Notify legal@sensorybridges.com within 24 hours
  3. Destroy all copies in your possession and confirm destruction in writing
  4. Refrain from further disclosure to any third party

Failure to comply may constitute willful and knowing retention of trade secrets and may be introduced as evidence of intent in civil and criminal proceedings under 18 U.S.C. § 1836 and Tenn. Code Ann. § 47-25-1701.

Sensory Bridges, LLC reserves all rights to pursue civil remedies including injunctive relief, compensatory damages, exemplary damages, and attorney fees, as well as criminal referral where appropriate.
