YOUR DATA

How We Use Your Data

Sensory Bridges, Inc. · Plain-language guide to our data practices · Updated April 2, 2026

Introduction

This page explains in plain language how Sensory Bridges collects, uses, and protects your personal information. No legal jargon — just clear answers about your data.

What We Collect

Information You Give Us

When you interact with us, you may share your name and contact information, account credentials and preferences, form submissions (inquiries, feedback, pilot requests), and Brooks Band device information (device type, firmware version).

Information We Collect Automatically

When you visit our website: browsing activity (pages visited, time spent), device information (IP address, browser type), cookies (see our Cookie Policy), and analytics data (how you interact with our site). Brooks Band collects motion sensor data with your consent for self-regulation awareness features.

How We Use Your Information

To Provide Our Services

We use your data to set up and maintain your Brooks Band account, deliver self-regulation awareness features, process your requests and support inquiries, and troubleshoot technical issues. You can update or delete your account anytime by emailing privacy@sensorybridges.com.

To Communicate With You

We use your contact info to respond to questions, send account notifications, and (with your permission) share product updates. Opt out of marketing emails anytime by clicking Unsubscribe or emailing privacy@sensorybridges.com.

To Improve Our Services

We analyze usage patterns to understand helpful features, fix problems, and develop improvements. Opt out of analytics via browser settings, Do Not Track, Global Privacy Control, or by contacting us.

What We Do NOT Do

We never sell your personal information. We do not use your data for targeted advertising or cross-site tracking. We do not build behavioral profiles for marketing. We do not use data to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. Brooks Band is a general wellness device, not a medical device.

How Forms Work (Airtable)

When you submit a form on our website, your information is transmitted securely to our Airtable account. Only our team sees it. Data is encrypted in transit. We keep form submissions for 1 year, then delete them. You can request deletion anytime. For children's submissions, we have parental consent and additional COPPA protections in place.

Children and Students

Brooks Band for Kids (COPPA Compliant)

If your child uses Brooks Band, we collect only what's necessary for the service. Parents control everything — you can review, update, or delete your child's data. We never use children's data for marketing. Under the 2025 COPPA amendments, biometric data from wearable devices is explicitly covered, and we obtain verifiable parental consent before any data collection.

Brooks Band in Schools (FERPA Compliant)

When used in schools, administrators control student data. We do not use student data for commercial purposes. Student data is kept separate from marketing lists. Schools can request data deletion at any time.

How Long We Keep Your Data

Active account data: While active + 2 years after closure.

Form submissions: 1 year, then deleted automatically.

Email communications: 2 years after last communication.

Analytics data: Individual-level for 14 months; aggregated for 26 months.

Children's data: Until account closure or upon parental request.

Request deletion anytime: email privacy@sensorybridges.com with your name, email, and what you want deleted. We respond within 30 days.

Opt Out: Unsubscribe from marketing, disable analytics, enable Do Not Track or GPC.

California Residents (CCPA/CPRA)

You have the right to know, delete, correct, opt out, and be free from discrimination. Email privacy@sensorybridges.com with "California Privacy Request" in the subject.

Tennessee Residents (TIPA)

You have the right to access, delete, correct, and opt out of targeted advertising (which we do not do). Email privacy@sensorybridges.com with "Tennessee Privacy Request" in the subject.

Who Sees Your Information?

Our team: Only employees who need your info for their job have access. All sign confidentiality agreements.

Service providers: Webflow (hosting), Airtable (form data), Google Analytics (traffic analysis), and email services (newsletters, if opted in). All providers must keep data confidential, use it only to serve us, and never sell it.

We do NOT share with: Advertisers, data brokers, unrelated companies, or marketers. Exception: we will disclose information if required by law (court order, subpoena).

Security

We use SSL encryption for data in transit, encrypted storage for sensitive data, access controls limiting who can see your information, security monitoring for suspicious activity, and incident response procedures. No system is perfect — we work hard to protect your data but cannot guarantee 100% security.
