How can we help you today?
The Brooks Band is a wearable voice-regulation device designed to help children become more aware of their speaking volume. It provides real-time, haptic feedback to gently guide kids toward calmer, more appropriate vocal levels without constant verbal reminders.
It’s built primarily for neurodiverse individuals, including those on the autism spectrum, who benefit from additional sensory cues to regulate vocal output. However, any person who struggles with loudness can use it effectively.
The band uses sound-responsive indicators that activate when a child’s voice exceeds a certain threshold. This feedback loop helps the child recognize patterns, adjust their vocal level, and build long-term self-awareness.
Yes. We have partnered with therapists and currently have pilot programs in place with schools to get feedback. The Brooks Band works as both an individual intervention tool and a supplemental resource in group settings.
No. The Brooks Band does not record, store, or transmit audio. It simply listens for volume levels and reacts natively on the device. This protects the child’s privacy and confidentiality at all times.
